Etymon Systems specializes in Information Retrieval software design. An "etymon" is "a word or morpheme from which compounds and derivatives are formed." Karim Nassar Design built upon this concept of "roots of language" for the Etymon Systems' logo. The branching tree logo is also suggested by the unusual occurrence of the letter "y" in the word "etymon."
Etymon returned to Karim Nassar Design for branding of their primary software packages, "PJ" and "Amberfish." This included development of software logos, icons, and CD-Rom packaging.
