The Duke University School of Nursing needed branding for the distinct instructional departments within the school. These logos were to reflect the classical styling of the school's existing logo, but project a more contemporary image. This was achieved by repeating the laurel-wreath motif of the original within in clean, circular bounding element.
These logos were additionally constrained by a University-mandated color scheme and a desire to produce embroidered and printed material based on the logos at various scales and levels of detail.
The joint Divinity/Nursing program's logo proved an interesting challenge, since each department's logo needed to be equally represented, without giving obvious precendence to either. The solution was to reproduce the center component of each logo within a new bounding element based on the University's own logo.
